Location:

Kilshane House is located outside the village of Bansha in County Tipperary; the nearest town would be either Clonmel or Cashel

The recommended means of travel is by car however it's also possible to arrive by train or coach before completing the final leg of the journey by taxi

By Car:

From Dublin
  • From Dublin take the N7 south from Dublin signposted Limerick. Continue on the M7 motorway and exit at junction 19 signposted Cork.
  • Continue on M8 motorway and take Exit 10 to the Cahir roundabout onto N24 North signposted Tipperary/Limerick.
  • Go through Bansha and turn right at the Gate Lodge and through the black iron gates.
From Cork
  • From Cork take the N8 north from Cork signposted Dublin.
  • Follow the M8 motorway and take the Exit 11 toward the Cahir roundabout.
From Limerick
  • From Limerick take the N24 south through Tipperary town signposted Waterford.
  • Kilshane House is three miles out of town on the left hand side of the road; turn left at the lodge to enter

By Train:

  • The closest station is Limerick Junction on the Dublin-Cork route; this is a fifteen-minute drive from Kilshane House.
  • If travelling from Dublin, a non-stop service is available from Heuston Station and takes one hour and forty-five minutes.
  • If travelling from Cork, there is a direct route with the journey taking approximately fifty minutes.

By Plane:

  • Dublin Airport is the recommended airport with a wide range of international connections
  • On arrival at Dublin Airport, car rental is available; alternatively there are shuttle buses both to the city centre including transfers to the primary train station, Heuston Station
  • It's also possible to take a coach from Dublin Airport to the town of Cashel; from here taxis can be taken to Kilshane House
